The new Caesars Entertainment casino in Virginia is one step closer to opening after the Danville City Council approved the company’s request for a zoning change.
The Danville City Council has approved a zoning change for the new Caesars Casino in Virginia.
A new $ 400 million casino will be developed on the site of the former Dan River Mills building, which will be demolished to make way for a new development.
Caesars expects the project to be completed by 2023 and will create 1,300 full-time jobs and another 900 during construction.
The site will house several restaurants and bars, a four-star hotel with 300 rooms, a concert hall with 2,500 seats, a 35,000-square-foot conference center, a swimming pool and a spa.
The gaming hall will accommodate 2,000 slot machines, 75 table games, 16 poker tables and a betting shop.
